Wyre Estuary, Lancashire Coast
As the tide falls away exposing acres of soft mud the waders and a solitary Heron move in for an early morning feast….. for the observer it is not just the beauty of the occasion but the sound that echoes across the mud flats…the sound of mainly happy birds with just the odd squabble over a sand worm.
