Slowly, slowly Autumn approaches…..

Whilst in places the colours that are more at home in Autumn are starting to make an appearance, Green is still the dominant colour.

Ferns and bracken are now at the full height, full and now turning brittle with the odd tip turning brown, but still retaining that distinctive bright green….

The fruits of the Sweet Chestnuts seem to be very abundant, so we can look forward to a good crop and a few tasty additions to a meal….

Early September is a real bonus for exploring the woodland areas, the bright low sunlight, certainly casting long shadows, but giving those green leaves a vibrant green hue much like that of spring.

We made the most of the weekends sun…not sure this clement weather will last the week.
