A bit of a Change…….. the wet stuff returns

A Bench in the Rain

Well it had to change….. the weather that is.  After a relatively long run of fantastic sunny weather, even though on some days it was a tad cold, todays change serves to remind us how fortunate we have been.

The rain has not been torrential, just persistent.  I suppose to be kind you could call it Spring Showers. No takers for the bench, but that is rather academic today,  we are told that on our daily exercise during this lockdown, we mustn’t sit and enjoy the fresh air.

The good news is that forecaster tell us that this rain is just a blip.  More good sunny weather is heading our way, even if it does bring with it a wind from the arctic.  But forecaster have been wrong before, so we will wait and see.  Now where is that good book and a coffee.

A Day at the Seaside…….

DEVON---0252do_raw

In normal times this would be the last weekend of the Easter Holiday break.  The first real holiday break in the year.  Given some descent weather may folk would flock to the seaside, either a beach or one of the ‘honey pot’ coastal harbours that dot our coastline.

Brixham, Devon is just one such popular holiday location.  Once a very busy fishing port, also by repute the home of smugglers.  These days it is Ice Cream, Fish and Chips, cosy Harbour side Pubs and a Yacht Marina….. children would be making the most of their freedom before a return to school life.

Brixham like so many holiday spots will  be missing its vital Tourist Trade,  lets hope normality will soon return.
