A Little Weather Beaten…….

This weekends winds and rains have left there mark on the plants in the gardens…..   This Peony has seen better days…..  I just hope the new buds that are yet to open are not browned off with rain damage at their core.

The rains have been heavy enough to reach below the trees, that canopy of leaves not quite dense enough to form a green umbrella…

The weather has of course reduced the number of folk out and about.

In Darley Park the Old Drive looked rather  lost and sorry for itself and Town Walk was deserted..

One plus point for there being so few folk about, is that todays trail of rubbish is less.  Littering has appeared to  be one of the many anti-social downsides of CV19 restrictions.   Sadly, even in the wet, not everyone has disposed of their litter responsibly…

At least the end of the weekend can have on a brighter finish.  The cloud has started to thin, the rain temporarily gone and the garden looking refreshingly green

Looking forward to the coming week, the outlook is mixed.  We will get a short reprieve, then some stormy weather again, followed by a short return to warmer more summer like conditions.    Now all we have to do is wait and see.  Mean time….
