It rained…rather a lot

It started to rain yesterday afternoon.  Continued into the early hours, throw in a thunderstorm and deluge of biblical proportions and you get the picture. In fact if the earth had opened up and dragged us down to the core I wouldn’t have been surprised.

Just heavy rain this morning so we waited till mid afternoon before braving the elements.  Mist lingered over a damp dark lake and all the foliage just dripped water..

It was supposed to have stopped raining….  well it did and it didn’t, what we got was a low clinging damp mist which clung to the grass and swept silently around us.

A Day on the Beach…… not yet this year

6-June

Wells Next the Sea, Norfolk

A hot sunny day on the beach at Wells.  On the edge of the Wash and North Sea, the tide drops away…. along long way.  A great beach and sand dunes, perfect to play, sit or stroll for miles.  But don’t let the photo mislead you,  it is usually very busy and it was on this day, a few years ago, when we were last there. …..  but as luck and with a bit of patience, then for the click of a shutter everyone had vanished 🙂

There will come a time when travel will be much more relaxed again, maybe not as we used to know it, but still with more freedom to explore than right now.  Till then…
