Has Summer Returned ?

We were promised some sunshine and weather much more like summer.  It did arrive, but took till late morning to be called anything like summer.  It was though great to wander round the Lake and across the fields, without a waterproof, fleece or sweater.

It was also great to dine out on the patio, the first time for over 5 weeks.  So nice to just relax in the warmth….20c. neither to hot, nor to cold and just a little breeze.

Travel is not that inspiring right now because of all the difficulties.  So nice to be able to explore locally and  then just relax at home.

Not sure how long this summer is going to last, but it is nice whilst its here…

Top Peak Indeed…….

TRYFAN-from-the-OGWEN-VALLEY-42

Tryfan and Ogwen Valley, North Wales

A challenging climb,  a revered mountain venue for Rock Climbers, the striking outline of Tryfan, with a height of 3010ft. it is the most dominant of the Glyder range, part of the Snowdonia massif.

It is suggested that the name Tryfan is a derivation of ‘Top Peak’.  Only memories now for me of some spectacular days climbing, but still one of my ‘Top Peaks’ …. and of another memory….. it was often  rather wet, which made climbing interesting!
