Hot…… and the Seasons move along

The fiery Red of a Dahlia is  a fitting image to portray the 34c temperature,  and the high humidity that goes with it.  OK, I know places are hotter, but for everyday life here in midland England this is a little bit exceptional.

Again the woods were a blessing,  we could enjoy a walk in some comparative cool, long shadows,  sunlight filtering through leaves and that summer sound of  happy bird song.

Mid morning and the early morning haze seemed reluctant to lift from the Lake

The summer garden is full of colour and providing plenty of food and cover for Bees and Butterflies, some plants starting to droop but that is probably due to lack of water rather than seasonal age…

Like it or not, there are signs of seasonal progression.  It happens every year and seems to take us by surprise…. “too soon we say” or “we haven’t enjoyed summer yet”….. well that change is here.  Rowan Berries, Acorns and Conkers all familiar autumnal signs.

I guess the so called hero’s of the morning are the Golfers.   No shade for them on this course…brave or daft I am none to sure….

Hot and steamy is perhaps the best way of describing the day.
