Lucky September Days…..

A very warm start to the day….. 4 consecutive days now.  There was a very light mist first thing but cleared as quickly as I manged to get my eyes open and start my day.  Bright sun but a very this layer of cloud just softening the  early light….all very nice and calm by the Lake.

But the season is moving along.  My favourite Silver Birch is changing colour…..  I say favourite, mainly because of its solo location against a low wall.  It did loose one of its trunks during gales in the early part of the year, so appearance has changed just a little…..

You don’t have to venture far into Big Wood before you loose the sun.  Some days its a welcome relief to head for the shade, today we just past swiftly through….

Once we got back to Lakeside the sun had increased in intensity, both warmth and strength…… its going to be a very hot day.  Forecaster’s reckon on reaching 29c in our part of the world.

Touched by Clouds

42-Loch-Morlich,-Glenmore-Forest-Park,-Cairngorm,-Scotland-0368

Loch Morlich at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains.  Nestling within the Glenmore Forest Park.   It is a great approach to the mountains, some of the highest in Scotland with some 4000ft summits….often touched by clouds.

Glorious in the summer, though watch out for midges, and spectacular in winter when the Ski Resort swings into activity.
