A fantastic Sunday for the end of January……. a great day for a woodland walk.
You could also say that this was the calm after and before the storms. A very different day to yesterdays gales and more gales are promised for tomorrow.
The Deer were taking full advantage of the warm sunshine, the Hinds un-bothered now by the Stags.
Even the Old Man of Calke seems to be withstanding even more of the ravages of time….
Tomorrows storms should see out January…..lets hope February will be kinder for all of us.. but as always..

and one day on it looks as if we here have missed the storms. Cannot imagine being without heat and electricity from Friday night would be like.

Yes, we woke to snow in February. I like it. I go snowshoeing. But agree, every day, grateful for heat and electricity. Thanks for sharing beautiful images.

Our snow don’t last like they once did….. so sledging and snowboarding is a possible thing of the past for us. Do make the most your opportunities 😄
