The Town Musicians of Bremen.
In passing, whilst searching through my files of images, I can across my shot of the Gerhard Marcks Bronze (1953) of the famous band of Musicians.
If you don’t know the story then I am sure you can find it on any search engine, it is worth a read whatever your age.
It did make me think about the many difficuties that so many are currently trying to manage and overcome….. some against seemingly mountainous odds.
In such a technological developed world, a world of great communication services, a world where even the extremes are more accessible, and in theory our understanding of differences and needs better than ever. Then surely, we should be more at Peace, more equitable and much more caring to all.
So may be the Town Musicians of Bremen can teach us all a good deal.
That however different we may be…. that working together in search of peace and equality…. is the only way to succed.
With hope for Peace and Hope for the future…. we still need to …

It is supposed to be lucky if you touch it…. the Donkeys front legs show signs of constant touching. But I guess they suggestion came from the local Tourist Board . It is a great sculpture 😃
