The March issue of CANAL BOAT Magazine is now on the news stands. As usual the main feature is the monthly boat test. Each year (for a good number of years) I have had the privilege of reviewing and photographing 12 brand new boats, some good, some bad and some just average. However in 2010 I can say that all 12, whilst each is very individual in style, were all first class top quality offerings from British Boat Builders. So good in fact that it would be difficult to pick the ‘best’. That said ‘Moment in Time’ the boat featured this month has to be one of the top contenders, a superb offering from www.Fernwoodcraft.co.uk a craft built especially for Sue & Ray Spicer.
‘Moment in Time’ is a Bespoke boat from start to finish. Every detail was planed by Fernwood to meet the customers very specific design requirements. Detail that didn’t stop at layout and colour of furnishings but right down to the size of each and every drawer and storage cupboard.
Comfort is the name of the game in this luxurious Saloon and Dinette which is supported by a galley that would grace the best of land bound kitchens. Whilst the Bathroom and Bedroom offer equally high levels of comfort. Add a Dayroom and Utility Room and you have a very complete practical and complete package.
All this and much more packed into a space 70ft by 6ft 10inches. If you would like to read Adam Porters full write up that goes with my images then pick up a copy of Canal Boat or log onto their web site www.canalboat.co.uk ![]()
