I have been sorting some images of lighthouses for a Travel Guide and came across this image. It is one of my favourites so I thought I would share it with you to-day……
Dunnet Head Lighthouse, Pentland Firth, Scotland
Overlooking the Pentland Firth with views to Hoy and the Orkney Isles, Dunnet Head Lighthouse is the most northerly light on mainland Britain. Often windswept its position can be very bleak. But on a sunny day as above, it is an idyllic spot, standing on high cliffs with unsurpassed sea views, the air has a fresh crisp look, smell and feel. This lighthouse, like all the others in Britain, is now automatic, long gone are the days of resident Lighthouse Keepers and with them a way of life and part of our maritime history.

I like it! Very clear and vibrant. It will look good in a travel guide.

WGL it all!! Those hues are incredible! I hope you will accept the Very Inspiring Blog award. I feel kind of silly giving a professional such as yourself a digital award but it is just a digital hello really! I have mentioned you on my new post along with others! Thank you so much for creating artistic inspiration!

Thank you…..praise is always welcome. Seriously though, thank you very much. As to being a professional whilst that is true, my blog is for fun and a chance to share many images that are more personal and fun – what I call ‘happy snaps’. I am genuinely thrilled that you liked the blog so much
