Are you getting lots of email notifications of comments on comments on wordpress. Not change any settings but instead of just new post notifications and comments on my posts, I am now getting comments and comments on the comments for all the WordPress blogs I follow. HELP…I have checked the help sources and all settings seem to be as needed

Dear David, I solved this problem I think… what I did, when I give a comment to a blogger a box comes and asks my username and email and my blog address too then I make unchecked the little box for notify and then it works… BUT I did for every blogger friend who I follow otherwise email rains again…
Is there any way for this I don’t know but they say join with your username and password sometimes it needs to verify to do this you can read on my problem topics some of our blogger friends told…

I think WordPress changed their default setting, when you comment make sure that the little box under your comment is unchecked. To change the ones you have, go to your dashboard then blogs I follow, at the top you’ll see a tab that says comments right next to blogs, click on it and unsubscribe from all the comments.

I thought it was just me! 😆 I finally worked out what was wrong this morning and have un-ticked the boxes too.

I read Nia,s post earlier solved the problem… just got to solve the problem of me having a terrible memory and uncheck the box

I’ve only had a few of these; thought I’d accidentally ticked the box for “notify me of follow-up comments by e-mail,” but I think Leanova is right, as I see that that box, below, is now ticked by default as I write this. One more thing to be aware of and watch out for, I guess. Maybe it will help to keep us young.

I complained on the forum and apparently so have a lot of other. Hope WP puts it back to how it was.

Thanks for the tips….it seems to have worked. Glad it wasn’t just me as I knew I hadn’t changed any settings. Nor did the help sources on WordPress shed much light onto the matter. Anyway, all is well that ends well….TILL the next time. Thanks for the help and comments

Thanks to help from many bloggers I have fixed it. It is just the chain that started before the fix that have to work thru now. When it first happens you think it has to be something on your own site that is wrong. It teaches me to check with others first and then share the solutions. Thanks again
