A quotation I read recently said
To increase your own Wisdom you should be able to say ….Sorry, I was wrong, I need help and I don’t know*. Four simple statements that will increase your knowledge and understanding of life.
The Church of St. John, Horningsham, Wiltshire
Once the centre of this country community now a tranquil place of beauty and history. From the 12th century a church has stood on this very spot enjoying expansive views over the Longleat Estate and the placid Wiltshire countryside. The wooden Lych-gate with its pantile roof must have seen many comings and goings.
* The quote is not mine but one I read some time ago. Seek, as I have, I do not know to whom it should be credited. But thank you Anon.

Isn’t it incredible to look at these beautiful structures that have stood for so many centuries? Wonderful photo.

you are so right….as I have said elsewhere on these blogs, I doubt many of to-days buildings will ever reach a century let alone 8 centuries
