Things must be tough for our City Centre Shopping Mall…that or else they are taking the Governments austerity warnings seriously. Normal at Christmas the frenzy of Christmas shopping is eased by the creation of a colourful Christmas display. But this year I reckon Westfield Derby have given the matter little creative time – if any…….
So Ho, Ho, Ho, get into the Christmas spirit…well perhaps not for this is the Wednesday before Christmas and hardly packed with shoppers.

Well, there are a few baubles hanging from the ceiling to give one a clue. The little mall in our little town here in Northern California is “Westfield Mall”. Same corporation I wonder? Also minimally decorated, but there are a few Christmas trees here and there throughout the mall.

I guess it is the same corporation…Australian I understand. Perhaps the excessive Car Parking charges are not high enough yet! Have a great Christmas and an even better 2013.

A very poor show for such a large shopping center, what is happening that the powers that be could not do a lot better. We also have some places that didn’t go down the Xmas track, here in Oz, but thank goodness far and few between.
Our local shopping center looks great, plenty of Chrissy decorations and of course Santa right in the middle of it all.

Like you, our little local shopping center of no more than 14 shops has a much more Christmas feel……it doesn’t matter to me and agree sometimes it is all over the top. BUT this is supposed to be for the kids. Have a good Christmas…enjoy
