A Happy New Year….and Reflections on the old.

Castlerigg-Stone-Circle-0127-New-Year-Greeting

Castlerigg Stone Circle, near Keswick in Cumbria.  A megalithic structure from the Neolithic era and dated to circa 3300BC.  Used by generations of our forefathers for celebrations , rituals and worship but mainly as a  time clock, measuring the passing of the seasonal equinox and annual solstice.  Perhaps no place more appropriate to start a quick review of the past year with a few images from past blogs……

All the very best for a

Happy New Year

with the hope that

everything

that you wish for you and

yours does come true….

……  But also take some time to

pause, relax and reflect

  1. It’s gonna be a good year once we have done away with the Olympics, I think?
I’ve just been outside listening to the start of WW III, but somehow they missed me!
Best wishes for the year to come, David!

  2. What a year it has been. Your photos and our correspondences have been a part of my having enjoyed it so much. You’ve made a great selection of some of your year’s favorites, and I most especially like the third and eleventh images. And here we go with a new, clean slate!
