The Nave at Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucestershire
Scale was something our ancestors did on a BIG Scale when it came to Religious buildings such as Cathedrals and Abbey’s. The size was there to both entice and impress, a visual statement of there importance over the worshipers, emphasising just how small mankind is in the Religious world as it was.
Thankfully they also combined a great deal of style in the construction…..style and grandeur we can still admire to-day.
Scale is this weeks Photo Challenge

Lovely. About 25 years ago I spent a week centred in Tewkesbury with my 14- and 10-year olds. The Abbey must have been closed, because we didn’t visit it!
