Once upon a Time!

And Not too Long Ago….

Southwell-13 (2)

A shared kitchen, in a dormitory at Southwell Workhouse (long after it ceased to be a Workhouse) converted as temporary accommodation for homeless young Mothers.  Surprisingly it continued to be used as such until the 1990’s

  1. It could do with a a nice clean up. 🙂 There several very familiar items that were found in my mum’s kitchen as well. Not the British brand tins and boxes of course. The machine to make chips with, the strainer and the mince meat maker, the kitchen scale and the soap dish… I miss the famous red bos ox loose tea. Very strong tea. Forgot the name of the stuff.
