After the Rains….

Overnight the sky cleared and we woke to brilliant sunshine.

It was though a morning of contrasts in the woods. In parts (like above) it looked and smelt fresh and spring like .  Yet in other areas the rains had brought down a covering of dead leaves and the appearance was much more autumnal even though the canopy is still green full.
