The Doorway of this old Stable Block is very much like several others ‘entrances’ to the building…..however this one is no entrance but a solid wall painted to match the ‘real’ doors.
Maybe easy to fool you in a picture, but be assured you have to look more than twice in real life to see this architectural trick.

I maybe should have added that the ‘fake’ door was not an after thought but a planned part of the architecture. There are several others at strategic intervals round the buildings

I tried to look several times…but in the picture it looks like a real door. A great photo.

and if you are there your eyes want to deceive you…. it does look even more like a real door….just the grass in front gives the secret away
