Malham Cove, Yorkshire Dales
As a young lad (another lifetime ago) I used to climb in Malham Cove…..I freely admit that I do not have the nerve or confidence in my balance any longer.
But the watch word for these intrepid ‘rock rats’ must still be the same….”Be Careful”
Malham Cove is a 260ft Limestone cliff face which just to make matters a little more interesting has a curved face and an overhang. Climbs with names such as Bover Boots, Gravity, Centrespread, Scaremonger and Free and Easy crisscross the face.
I do hope they are ‘careful‘ as my legs now quake just watching their skills.
Just a thought for this Weeks Photo Challenge:- https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/careful/

Haha, I had a go at climbing once, great fun but scary too! I love the colours, textures and sheer sense of scale in this image…

It once was fun (and a great Climbing Club Community spirit) and yes got a bit scary at times….but lets say I grew out of it! (got too old and stiff).

I’ve never been great with heights, and my balance is shot to bits now!

Wow! I know that Verity & Chris (my daughter & son-in-law) have done some photo-shoots at Malham but I’ve yet to see it for myself. I won’t be tackling the cliff face, though!
