Litchfield Cathedral
When the topic of “Ornate” was nominated for this weeks photo challenge (https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/ornate/) I immediately thought of this image of a Doorway in Litchfield Cathedral.
As I had posted this image on an earlier Blog I decided that I ought to make another submission instead.

However my mind kept on returning to this image….so here we are again.

Alway do what your intuition ‘tells’ you, David. It is right for 99.9% of the time. What a fabulous door it is! You can see it’s been hard work but it is a work of art. 🙂

The Craftsmen of the time produced some incredible works of art that maybe we cannot match today even with all or tech knowhow. Stone and wood carved with the same degree of skill

Wonderful choice….not to worry, my first time seeing it, so I would have missed out had you not post it.
