Ash Tree Buds….
It all depends upon your point of view….or if you believe in Folk Law.
There is a saying that I have used before that goes like this:-
Oak before the Ash
we are in for a Splash
Ash before the Oak
and we are in for a Soak.
Well the Ash tree buds are near to bursting yet the Oak tree still has its leaves well and truly wrapped up tight!
So its an old fable but what I do know is that for the past two years we have had dry summers and the Oak was out long before the Ash
Whilst we can welcome the Ash as another sign of Springs arrival I do wonder if Summer will not reach our expectations.
