AUGUST 9th …is it Autumn

August 9th and for this Chestnut Tree it would appear to me more like October 9th. Already the leaves are turning brown and many cover the floor. And it isn’t alone, many other Horse Chestnuts are showing the same autumnal change….perhaps it is the dry summer that we have enjoyed here, maybe something more sinister. Whatever – it is too soon to think about autumn.
