Autumn Budget Statement

I hate to get political but ………As it is Budget Day (well the Autumn mini version) here in the U.K. I thought I would issue my own Statement by announcing an investment programme of multibillion £’s. I will put in, say a £10 and invite banks, pension funds and anyone else to provide the rest. I will perhaps think of a few road numbers and rail links that could be improved, may be the odd canal as they always get ignored.  Then I would do what most politicians do…discuss the projects for about 30 years then do nothing about them. Cynical, well yes but sadly it appears to be true to life!

I say sadly as laudable as our Governments anticipated statement on ‘Capital Projects’ may be it still hasn’t woken up to the fact that for most people in the U.K. it is real jobs in all walks of life that matter.  Solve that problem and you solve a good deal of the deficit problem.  But of course we can all be joyful that the Chancellor will save us all money by not increasing duty or taxes higher than he might have done.

So with apologies for wandering into the political arena and to conclude my Autumn Statement here is an image taken earlier which I hope brighten your day……
