Where there is LIFE there is also HOPE….

This tree was planted many years ago on our local Golf Course alongside a Public Footpath.  It was still just a young tree when vandals broke the top off….just for fun!  Some 6 months later I happened on a group of workmen about to dig the young trunk out. 

To cut along story short, after a good deal of argument and a couple of phone calls the tree was left in peace; I felt that there was still much life left in the trunk and that new shoots were emerging.

Well it may not be the prettiest tree…. but Oh! Boy it has grown, perhaps with more branches than it should and may be a little chunky round the middle but is has great character.   So whilst there is life there is always hope.
