It is time to start the spring clean up in the garden, you know the drill….mow the lawns, get rid of dead foliage and turn over the flower beds and of course…..end up with an aching back!
Came across these cones that have come to rest amongst some stones beneath our Maple Tree….thought they looked nice and cosy so have left them be!
The Crocus have done well this season but are now starting to flower themselves out. They may be past there best but in to-days bright sunshine a few are still managing to open wide to capture the suns warmth. The yellow stamen’s gold with pollen and yes, we do have a few Bee’s about.
Our garden is not that big but for a suburban garden we do attract a good variety of birds. But until now one bird we just knew we would never attract to our garden pool – The Kingfisher. Thanks to a Christmas gift and a gifted artisan craftsman we now have our very own Kingfisher. It is one that I think will remain with us what ever the weather.
Now I suppose I had better go and finish of a few more of those garden tasks!

When I first saw the e-mail with your post title I thought it said scones….I must be hungry 🙂 Great photos.

Well…I am just about to have tea and scones (with homemade Lemon jam) on the patio whilst that sun still shines. I am told it is a great cure for an aching back!

Lots of great photos here on your blog. I will come back when I have time and look further!
Love the Kingfisher! Looks like a Lensbaby image. Is that what you used? Just wondering as I have one. Anyway, good stuff!

No not got a Lensbaby….been tempted but then again I think I cart enough stuff with me in my bag! I used an old centre spot filter with a diffused edge, had if for centuries. It works sometimes and others fail.
I also hope you do re-visit and I will do my best to keep your interest. Thanks
