The early morning mist soon cleared as we enjoyed an early morning ‘walkies’ with Carla; she is having to take it easy whilst she recovers from her op. so nothing too strenuous.
So it was soon back for a spot of ‘relaxing’ gardening. Colour is starting to burst all about but it is still yellow that is the dominating colour. From simple but delicate Forsythia flowers…..
To the much more brash yellow of the Narcissus of ‘Jack the Lad’ with its thick blousy head…..
Pink is the current colour in the conservatory with Orchids now dominating the scene…..![]()
Not surprisingly the lawns needed mowing, my least favourite task, and that now will be a regular weekly task till winter arrives again. That other garden chore has also started…weeding. Meanwhile brambles are starting to thrive once again wrapping their spike laden stems arround the Birch trees. But all said and done its is fun….. but even nicer when you stop and take that well earned break.
So it was lunch on the Patio and our first B.B.Q of the year with an iced beer and all this on the 25th of March…..

Now for an old mans grumble! The skies were clear blue but as the day went by more and more jet planes left their vapour trails across the sky. As they all seem to be flying on the same flight path and at the same height, the vapour trails start to roll over in the winds, merge together and then of course form mini cloud banks…..spoiling my sun bathing and that is not on!
Grumble over…….it has been a great Spring sunny Sunday.
25th March
Sounds like a wonderful Sunday. I love that Narcissus! Glad to hear Carla is out an about, even if slowly.
