After a March of ‘record high’ temperatures the forecast is for snow later to-day. It certainly looks likely from the study window…grey, heavy overhead cloud that look just a little ominous.
But my view is brightened by two plants that still mange to shine on such a dull day.
This Salmon Pink Geranium is a cutting from last year and has started to flower. In theory I should snap the flower off to encourage the new growth but I haven’t the heart to extinguish this exquisite bloom that brightens my daily toil.
The Cyclamen on the other hand, flowered in early November and has flowered continually since, throwing out head after head of the blousy blooms. But this is the last and I will soon have to but the bulb out to rest over the summer….but not just yet as I enjoy the colour it gives to the day.
