After the last few days of grey skies, cold winds and heavy rains it was great to catch just a glimpse of that golden globe we call the sun…..even a little blue peaked through the still heavy clouds.
It was a moments hope soon lost under another downpour.
There was a nice surprise. The first Marsh Marigolds of the year have suddenly appeared from nowhere. These spring wayside wildflowers, lovers of wet areas by streams and marsh, burst into foliage and flower virtually overnight, then over a 3 week period disappear till next year. These blooms are still fresh and yet to swell to full size and adopt more of a globe shape…..also known by their country name of ‘May Buds’ the mild winter has seen them show a good 3 weeks ahead of last year. But an early appearance also means and early end to one of springs bright and beautiful displays, so I will try to bring some more images once they are in their majestic ‘full bloom’.
and as a Post Script……

The Editor enquired if I had any images of desirable residences that could be used to illustrate a Houses for Sale feature….of course I have and felt that this very desirable property should head the list!
