The day dawned to bright sunshine, blue skies and a warm feeling in the air….so the ideal excuse for a lazy day pottering about in the garden. The fact is we have done very little apart from a little tidying up…..and admiring some of the small wonders that appear at this time of year.
The Alpines in particular are little gems of colour punching way above their weight. Bright buttons of colour either as individual blooms are as a massed display.
But a lazy day was the plan of action so what better than to sit on the patio, read the paper and let the day go bye.
Well I suppose there is one thing better….and that is to enjoy an alfresco lunch in the sun…..so we did just that! Baked Camembert and Rustic Bread plus a drop of wine.
I hope you all had a great day too

Ah, yes, shooting in the bright sun brings its own particular challenges, to which you have risen very well. Love your patio–how inviting! I agree, too, that the lunch really looks scrummy, except for one essential detail: There’s no wine in the bottle. Oh, wait a sec–you did, after all, say a “drop” of wine; I didn’t think at first that you meant that literally…
