No early morning sunshine over Derwentwater this morning, heavy grey clouds and drizzle after a night of heavy rain…..but still a great view over the lake and just a hint of Skiddaw under its heavy hat…..
Wispy cloud hover over the woods seem to be the mood for the rest of the day
Under the canopy there are signs of both new and old life from sapling Oak cushioned in a carpet of moss….
to an Oak leaf nearing the end of its life……
Otter Bay
Lets see what tomorrow brings…..may be the sun will have its hat on!
10th September
Very nice- as always

After a summer over here of blasting sun, I am ready for some days of fog and rain. These are welcoming photos for me.

We too had a dreadfully hot summer (plus lots of humidity making it feel even hotter.) Your photos are such a treat… You are fortunate to have such marvelous land and sea around you in such dramatic configurations. We have had a sudden cool snap and it will be quite chilly here tonight…so your photos “feel” just right to me tonight. I can just picture myself on that shore. Thanks for such great views of your world.
