It has possibly been the greyest, dampest and most miserable 5 days of weather we have had for a very long time. The mist, that turned to fog lingered and with a wet blanket draped over everything….including ones spirits. But lunch time to-day a breath of a breeze sprang up and whilst still very grey just a little light was thrown on the autumn leaves….
So may be the forecasters are right and this weekend we see colder but brighter weather to bring autumn to its colourful climax and herald in winter. Yes…. two months to Christmas!

This is so beautiful, fascinated me. Thank you dear David, love, nia

Beautiful David! We’ve had gloomy days on the East Coast too and now Hurricane Sandy is looming….Hope to see some bright sunshine soon!

The sun just changes everything, from the landscapes all arround us to the spirits of the people we meet. Grey helps none of us, a little sunshine puts the smiles back on the faces. But I have to admit that we are lucky in the U.K. that whilst we do get some extremes with the weather they (so far!) have not been as extreme as other parts of the globe. We will watch Sandy and though it will blow itself out at some point on its travels, East Coast USA hurricane’s and snows seem to have a knock on effect here in about 7/10 days time (all be it much less dramatic). Hope all goes bettar than some of the forecast suggest. Best wishes
