We should not wish time away BUT I do wish that spring and summer would hurry up. Gales and blustery snow to-day make we want for a warmer summers day, smelling the Lavender as you brush past them on a garden path and then sitting to watch the bees searching out the best pollen to retrieve from summer flowers…….I suppose it will soon be here. Till then, memories…

We have in Southern Finland 60 cm snow, night temp around -20 C, and day temp -10 C. Above our small garden is 1,5 meters snow. Before 1st of May, all snow is gone, I hope.

I so agree with you!! Last week it was gordious weather. Temperatures up to 18º and the following day it already started to deteriorate again. It’s cold with an ice cold NE wind and in the eastern parts some snow had fallen. Not as bad as you describe. On my balcony I have a container and I discovered three minute little yellow flowers. Like a mini dandelion. I don’t think it is one but at least there are two messengers of hope… these three little flowers from one little plant and I have seen that my Sedum has been making new growth and it refuses to die. It’s still there. Many people are having the flu. A lot of them are experiencing dizzyness, me included. But my brother has it much worse. We so need warmer weather and the sunshine.
Risto – I will hope it is gone by then… When three people hope the very same thing it must come true.
David, when it’s too slippery outside, please stay indoors? Thank you for a lavender… I can smell it. :-))

How much I love these lavenders… When I was in UK, in all our travelling on the roads, I saw lavenders in front of so many houses… And I am impatient now for to plant them in our new house in the village. Wish me luck dear David, 🙂 This is a beautiful photograph, fascinated me again… Thank you, I hope spring be there soon, love, nia

Thank you, David. Scott, in the North of France, Belgium and the South of The Netherlands there is a awful lot of snow falling since yesterday evening. Right here, just north of Rotterdam, it’s dry, even e wee nit sunny, but bitterly cold due to this NE wind.. Long term forecast tells me the change iwll happen here on Sunday. Abve Zero temperatures day and night (!) and 50% chance of rain. Of course, you can’t have it all. 😉 Have a wonderful day you all.
