It didn’t last…the sunshine that is. A bright sunny start to the day gave hope of a thaw and progress…….
But that was a faint hope and cloud cover returned and that east wind still cut through the warmest coats. Gone those stimulating rays of promise.
THE SAGA of the GLOVES
Followers will know that I have recently started to record the glove found ‘homeless’ whilst out on our walks. Of GREAT significance as you will be aware is that all are left handed gloves. To-day was a bumper day for discoveries. Two more left handed gloves…lost awaiting their owners to recover – maybe to be just abandoned in the woods and at this moment in the snow as well, just when they are most needed…..
BUT then the major discovery of the day….a RIGHT HANDED glove. May be a first but may be it is also a lesson to be taught and learned. Note it is a child’s glove (better described as mitten); obviously a youngster who has not as yet been instructed as to which glove to drop! OR may be mittens are different to gloves…the plot thickens.

All true finds…I just wish I had started recording them earlier….then again perhaps not!

I think there must be different rules for mittens 😆 I haven’t seen any stray gloves in the woods this winter yet, just two hats and a scarf! Maybe they all make for Derbyshire?

I wouldn’t mind if I was able to get a full set!

You wouldn’t fit in the child’s mitten anyway. 😀

Curiouser and curiouser! I am wondering if you’ll also be finding warm-weather (gardening?) gloves soon, when (I’m not going to go so far as to say if) your spring finally does arrive.
