Dark grey, Misty, Damp and Cold….it has to be November. Well that is very much what it feels and looks like…..Yet it is the 12th April and supposedly Spring. True, we have just enjoyed 3 days of sunshine that tempted us to think that spring was on the way but down by the lake this morning it is much more like November……
And it is not just me that has been fooled. This normally ‘randy’ Mallard Drake should be chasing the ducks all over the lake to show off his sexual prowess rather than skulking about on his lonesome…..
As someone much wiser than I said….”We have just had Spring (the last 3 days) we are now giving Summer and Autumn a miss and going straight back to Winter”. They may just be right!

I feel sorry for you all. It IS depressing when it’s misty, cold, wet and nasty outside and you can’t see more that 100 metres. I so hope for you the weather WILLL change soon. Last Sunday and Monday were fine here. The rest of the week was humid, cold and wet en windly. Today it’s a wee better. For tomorrow they promiss an excess: 20º. Well, I don’t know. They were wrong before. But 13-14º would be fine with a wee bit of sunshine and less wind. A good sign will be songbirds. When you hear them abundantly, they have had enough food to start their territorial songs. Keep the faith! It surely MUST come…

This is such crazy weather. It really has me concerned. I pray that Mama N is able to recover her balance and reboot her system at some point in the not-too-distant future so things can get back to somewhat-predictable normalcy.
