I have no idea who names and selects the ‘theme’ for the Weekly Photo Challenge. But full marks for selecting yet another multi-meaning title. ‘In the Background’ can be interpreted in many ways. It can be just that a background, or it could be the background that supports the foreground, it might even not be there….just simply in the background.
So this is my offering for the weekly challenge.
The location is Stokenham, Devon. The church in the background is St, Michael and All Angels. But the sign post on this footpath, with directions to the local Inn is what caught my attention. The directions state….Bear right at back of Church. Now that really must be in the background….

That’s a nice take on the theme – clearly in the background and even with a pointer to it. A lovely photograph in its own right.
