I know it might be cheating but I think we can offer more than one suggestion in the Weekly Photo Challenge. I was digging out some images for another project when I came across this one and thought it fitted the theme quite well.
Visits to the Highlands of Scotland are to take in the sights of Lochs and Mountains and to admire the wild spaces of the north west. But here at Lochcarron village this more humdrum sight caught my eye…..it is ‘wash day’ and here the locals hang their washing to catch the breeze and dry along the shore of Loch Carron. A crofters bedding blending with the magnificent background of Strathcarron and Attadale and the towering slopes of Creag Dhubh Mhor…..all providing a spectacular background I think!
