Early morning and this fisherman was enjoying the warmth and tranquillity of the lake. Some how I don’t think he was anxious to catching anything which might break the peace of the morning….I think it was all just an excuse to be out and enjoy the day…..
We will tip-toe away and leave him in peace.

I used to fish a long time ago – loved being on some river bank or windswept beach, hated killing the fish – typical towny attitude when it came to doing the dirty work myself

The beauty of fishing is not in the catching (and most especially not the killing) of fish. I love to fish, but I rarely keep one; my hooks are barbless and I release them unharmed. As Sir Isaac Walton said, it’s an opportunity for perpetual hope. And just being there, as this fellow so aptly demonstrates.
