Looking down from Stanage Edge, a gritstone cliff above the Hope Valley, the countryside gives the impression of still being a ‘green and pleasant’ land. Look closely and you get just a flash of autumnal colour….yes, a ‘hint of a tint’. It is still a cold but sunny day, maybe the cloud build up is an indication of change to come……

Yes, it’s coming for sure. The warm colors are starting to put a definite autumn tint frosting on the late-summer greens. Love this time of year!

It came alright this weekend but in the shape of winds and heavy rain. But after the summer we have enjoyed I suppose we cannot complain just so long as it doesn’t rob us of the autumnal colours we are hoping for.
