Horizon…an interesting topic for this weeks photo challenge. Just where is the horizon? It can be near or far depending upon what one is shooting…. on a misty day it can be very near, whilst on a clear day miles away and from the mountain tops even further.
As photographers we sometimes use more than one ‘apparent’ horizons. Here we have the mountains acting as a back stop…then look further and in the distance even more mountains…but is that the horizon or is that even further beyond?

Whichever horizon one chooses to see, this one looks amazingly perfect to me. (Sorry, the rhyme was completely accidental.) The cloud gods surely smiled on you on the day when you made this image!

As you say the ‘classic’ view…..but you still need that element of luck with the weather. The previous night we were kept awake with heavy rain and within the hour the cloud had built again and yes, more rain!

I have never seen it this good here David – that said I have only been 4/5 times – it is the winter Cuilans I love
