Now you are talking this where I played most weekends as a child – I haven’t been back in since around 85/86 – my father was an agate hunter and we were dragged to the Ayrshire coast to either Dunure or Croy Shore (here) – fabulous reminder of my childhood – I am planning to take my Dad back down (in his late 70’s now) as soon as the clocks change.
I thought this location might trigger a few memories. A great coastline that can tell of days when it had busy and wealth life….all the Fishing ports, like Girvan, now looking rather sad.
