  1. Dear David, Just a general message. I really enjoy your daily messages and wonderful photography. I also admire your discipline in doing them every day. We are retired now and they have become a satisfying, informative and interesting part of daily enjoyment, like our newspaper, mealtimes or doing the crossword. Thank you. We live in Pontneddfechan, opposite the White Horse. I believe another favourite area of yours? Best wishes and please keep going! Best wishes, Morwen

  2. Yesterday was the first time having lunch outdoor in a lovely spot in the middel of The Netherlands. Restaurant is called l’Orage. In English: The Tempest. Name of the old owner was Storm. 🙂

Lovely seat with a little breeze andthe three of us, my sister (81) her husban (83) en me (almost 65) enjoyed this outdoor lunch to the fullest. The ciffchaffs (I have no idea whether I spelled that right bu I know the name is the same in pronounciation in English and Dutch) were chiff chaffing against eachother. Sparrows were having their own political debate on the rooftop and a lone blackbird in a high tree sang his song. Just above the meadom accross I could hear (hardly see as I had to look into the sun) a field lark (as we call it). His song reminds of warm summers and long days.

Today I will hop on my bike and peddle towards the woods nearby and have a short walk and ride and finish with a cup of tea at the restaurant over there. Have a great day all!

          1. Those cottage are National Trust properties….all though they rent some cottages these I think are not. The one on the left is a Tea Room in the summer. But try the National trust web Site and their link to accommodation. Even so there are many beautiful cottages in the area for hire and nowhere is very far away from the heart of Exmoor.

  3. Oh, that is stunning! I’ve been to Dartmoor, but not Exmoor. This would be a heavenly sight to wake up to!
