A Humble Bee

I may only be small but Life on Earth can depend upon me. I pollenate the fruits and flowers so other creatures from insects to birds, animals to humans may eat. I am also a Hunter Gatherer collecting pollen and I am my own transport system carrying my cargo back to community Hives to help make Honey……Oh!  I can also do something you humans cannot…..I can Fly.

  1. As the biologist Edward O. Wilson details in The Social Conquest of Earth, “the planet’s most successful species are the great cooperators: ants, bees, termites, and humans.” It’s too bad we humans don’t always follow the cooperation “rule” as we should.
