At the end of a very hot day (yes, we do have the occasional scorcher) our first Day Lilly has opened. Tomorrow it will be gone but with luck others will now follow…..a fitting end to the month of June

Me too. Really do not like hot weather. Got a tip that;s actually working. Get one of those table ventilators and put two bottles with frozen water in front of it. Right now my fan is working and blows air against two small plastic bottles with frozen water in them. It really works! And I put two more half liter bottles (pintsize more or less) in the freezer. For this evening. Good luck.
Davig, I so love day lillies. I find the quite spectacular. Thank you.

Gorgeous David – we have seeded the garden from scratch and have introduced our first flowers for a splash of colour mainly in pots – yesterday was our first Rose – I haven’t experienced heat like this since London 20+ years ago it’s horrible – all I asked for was 16 degrees and a bit of sunshine 🌅 – sorry not like me to moan about weather on your blog

I know what you mean. It is not the heat that I find unpleasant but the high humidity and yesterday it was uncomfortable (but best not complain) (-:
