After a very wet weekend….summer is back….

It might be sunny today but one look at the turgid brown waters of the lake tells you that it has been a weekend of torrential rains.

Things are looking brighter elsewhere in the park..Poppies and Iris and even our first Water Lilly now adding colour and contrast to there green surrounds….

Once you enter the Beech woods the mood changes again…hard to believe that less then 5 weeks ago there were no leaves on these trees but now they cast a heavy shadow that will not lift till possibly November.
