Change is inevitable but I do find it very frustrating when WORDPRESS keep changing the Editing/Writing Page. Apart from the fact that there is no advance warning or indicator as to changes you have to waste so much time learning a new system. O.K. the new writer isn’t that difficult to re-learn but there appeared (in my view) nothing wrong with the previous version.
What is a pain in the new setup is the Categories and Tags Box. Gone is the ability to predictive text the name you wanted from your list….what a time waste scrolling down a list to tick and untick an entry…..nor can you jump from say A to N or where ever. WHY cannot it be just like the Tags Box
Love WordPress but at times they really do frustrate me….and yes, I do feel GRUFF.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree!! Sometimes these constant changes on WordPress make me gruff too. :-[

I detest these tiny boxes we are forced to tip in when we respond to a post. I also can’t stand the fact that poems are run together in sentences. They just never stop making things worse.

I never did try to use the new Beep beep boop editor, so I’ve been spared the growing pains it has gone through. And they are not done yet. They haven’t added the search tool to the ‘Insert/edit link’ tool.
As you pointed out, the tags box is next to useless.
The new Media Library is a huge improvement – but you can’t see it from the old dashboard where the old editor is…

Now it worked fine, I think?!

I’ve bookmarked the link to the old PROPER editor. Grumpy now. Or grumpier, if you’ve been talking to my kids.

Ha! It looks like we’re on the same wave length with our posts today. I hate having no forewarning when they do this.

It is the sudden change, no warning, using it for a couple of days…then up pops an bright note telling us they have improved everything. Well bits are better and bits are worse and if they do listen I wonder if they will tweak the bad bits or just ignore

I have now, as of today, completely switched over to the Classic editor, which can always be accessed from this link:

I won’t post here all of my frustrations with the Beep Beep Boop (new) editor, but you can view them at the forum link above. My bottom line, as I told them, “From what I have seen in the development of this new editor, it keeps getting less and less useful… for me, at least. Unless a major change occurs, I’ll always be using the classic editor. Always.”
Keep blogging, though. Overall, I still think WP is the best platform.

I didn’t object to the Beep Beep Bop editor like all things it took time to adapt….but for me the changes were O.K. but the new adaption just adds time and frustration. But I particularly hate this sudden launch without notice then a few days later the announcement an a few tips. Not good customer relations which is a shame as overall they do a good job.
