Relaxing but in early spring and summer the bird call at dawn and dusk is startling loud!

During WW2 it was not so tranquil as it was the location for pre Normandy landing exercises and tragically many USA troops drowned in an training accident along this coast. There is a Memorial but apart from that you would never know.

Makes me think of a documentary by Satish Kumar: A year on Dartmoor. I am not allowed to watch the documentary as it;s BBC and I do not live in England. You can find it on Your Tube. I am lucky: I have the documentary on DVD here. It is worth while to watch it. Hopefully you will feel the magic of the area as I did…
