Here is a medley of Doors and Windows.
A Bookshop in Rostock, Germany; Bess of Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire; The Water Front at Bergen, Norway; and Ashby Castle, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire where the doors and windows are long gone.

Doors have something strange and magical about them since I watched Monsters, Inc. on the tele. 😀

I used to photograph interiors of Stately Homes for travel magazines. One editor liked to see doors open between rooms….an other was insistent that doors always remain shut (shut not eve ajar). This meant on big shoots I would have to double up shots…take one doors open then another with it shut.

It was a great place to just sit and watch the world go by….and have a drink of course!
