    1. Mixed feelings…shot was in a Wildlife Bird Sanctuary as you can see the birds are ringed. Part of a breeding programme….. loved the moment and loved the experience of viewing Flamingo’s (something I may well not get the chance to do in the wild) but it does seem just one step away from a Zoo and I am not sure I really approve of captive wild animals

      1. Me neither, but here in Sweden we have those breeding centres of endangered animals too, and they are really good. They put the animal first. “Nordens Ark” (The Nordic Arc) breed for example the endangered snow leopard and they are returned to their natural habitat, supervised by wild life expert in that country.

          1. I prefer to enjoy coming close – even if I share your doubts…the snow leopard was a fantastic animal to see as well. I have visited three times and I think I will go again if I get the opportunity. The first year I was lucky to see the cubs as well. Hidden up under a cliff, but I could see them from afar.
